Established in 1999, Hawthorne has since earned the reputation of Hawke’s Bay’s premium fresh coffee supplier and holds the title of New Zealand's most awarded coffee roastery. We’re open Monday - Saturday, so drop by and see the roast in action whilst sipping on a cup of fresh espresso made by one of our award-winning baristas. There’s a tasty selection of treats (including the world-famous Hawthorne scones) to nibble on, and once you’ve discovered just how good our coffee really is, you can have some freshly roasted beans weighed, ground, and bagged for you to take home. There’s also free WiFi and a stack of magazines - we’ve got a few customers who spend so much time in our cafe that we’re considering introducing a bunk-bed area in the back!
