Wairoa's destination playground opened in the centre of town in late 2017, with additional features added in late 2018. The sprawling river-side site features everything to keep the kids entertained - including a highly prized flying fox!
The playground is also right beside the Wairoa River pathway, and within easy walking distance of the shops, which makes it an ideal stop-off point for anyone passing through to Lake Waikaremoana, Mahia or further afield - or a great activity for families staying in the Wairoa area.
