Pukeora Hill is a landmark in Central Hawke's Bay overlooking the Tukituki river and the beautiful countryside that surrounds it. Home to the original 1918 hospital for soldiers returning home in WW1, the spot later became home to roughly 80 residents living with disabilities. In 200 the Estate was sold and reopened as a private venue.
Visitors can start at the bottom of the hill and make their way through the Forest of Memories, a beautiful walk with trails to choose from, before arriving at the top and taking in the extensive views of Central Hawke's Bay. A great spot for a selfie!
