Te Ara o Matareta (Maggie's Way), is an extension of the Rotary Pathways Trust network in Taradale linking to the historic site of Ōtātara Pā.
Maggie's Way is a beautiful, quiet walk for all fitness levels, but we recommend you take a moment or two to soak up the scenery, marvel at nature and spot the wildlife.
Thanks to generous funding from Basil McCoward that kick started this project, we now have a stunning walk to enjoy any time of year.
The walkway is open to walkers only, and dogs must be on-leash. The walk is roughly 3.5km's in distance, winding under mature trees, rolling hills, with a variety of scenery to enjoy.
